This was a tricky print job because the specific blue required the use of reflex blue ink pigment. This pigment is notorious for being very difficult to print and dry correctly. Thanks to Westkey Printers for their time and care on this job.
This publication filled three needs. The first, and most obvious, was to act as the season’s programme, it also was a fundraiser, and used as a promotional piece beyond the shores of Bamfield. Printed in four colour with both gloss and matte varnishes it represents a depth and patina beyond ordinary colour printing.
Part of a larger campaign, this brochure takes a factoid approach to capturing the viewer’s attention. The design is versatile enough to serve many versions with new facts and images.
